Escapology Escape Rooms Nearing Opening at The Avenue Viera

A new escape room venue is getting close to opening its doors at The Avenue Viera. Escapology, a national escape-room franchise, is bringing its first Space Coast location to 6729 Colonnade Ave, Suite 113, according to the company's own location page.

County permit records paint a picture of a project in its final stretch. Brevard County issued building permit 26BC09037 on May 20, 2026 for a $650,000 interior buildout of the 4,789-square-foot space, changing its occupancy from retail to assembly use for the escape-rooms facility. The work covered interior partitions, game rooms, and electrical, plumbing and mechanical modifications, with no changes to the storefront. A dedicated fire alarm system permit (26FP00392) followed, issued August 19, 2026.

Two permits were still awaiting client feedback as of mid-October: a sprinkler modification (26FP00362, filed August 4, 2026) covering about 35 sprinkler heads, and the exterior signage permit (26BC18315, filed October 9, 2026) for lighted channel letters spelling ESCAPOLOGY plus a blade sign, applied for by Kendal Signs of Rockledge.

Florida Today first reported the coming opening on July 9, 2026, quoting The Avenue Viera general manager Jeffrey Law on the mall's push toward first-to-market concepts. No opening date had been announced then, and Escapology's own Viera page still reads COMING SOON, with hours posted and a local contact email ([email protected]).

With the buildout permitted and the sign application filed, nearly every piece is in place. We will update this story when Escapology announces an opening date.
