Orlando VA invites veterans, their families and community members to explore traditional healing practices and VA health care services, with drum and talking circles, guided imagery and five cultural wellness stations.
Warrior Wellness: Traditional Healing and VA Care, Wednesday, November 4, 2026, 10am-2pm at Lakeside at Viera Town Center. Hosted by the Orlando VA Healthcare System's Minority Veterans Program, this interactive event celebrates healing traditions practiced by American Indian and Alaska Native communities. Attendees can explore five traditional healing stations: purification (smudging), food as medicine, guided imagery, drum circle, talking circle, and prayer tie making. VA representatives will also offer benefits claims assistance, enrollment and eligibility information, and toxic exposure screenings. RSVP requested via the survey link.
